WESTON, MA (April
2, 2002) -- American Financial Systems, Inc. (AFS) , has released what
it believes to be the first Internet based system designed specifically
for the multi-life Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI) marketplace.
AFS-LINK will
complete life insurance carriers' suite of Internet offerings. Producers
will now be able to do everything from pre-sale illustrations, including
sales and marketing presentations, through submitting applications to
underwriting departments, to post-sale administration, all on-line.
Advantages of using
AFS-LINK online include
increased power and speed, access to presentation and illustration materials
from almost anywhere, immediate and automatic system updates, and state
of the art data security.
"This is a
natural step for us", says chief technology officer Alok Mehta,
a twelve year veteran of the firm. "We've been providing cutting-edge
technology to our industry for nearly twenty years. The web is clearly
the right platform for our current technology." Mehta is backed
up by president Nancy MacDonald, "The opportunities for brokers
and life insurance companies to use technology to increase sales and
improve service have never been greater."
Founded in 1984
by supplemental benefits professionals, AFS provides software and Internet
tools for the design, illustration, and administration of supplemental
(non-qualified) benefit plans to the clear majority of large COLI offices,
and is the technological platform responsible for the majority of large
COLI sales and case administration. AFS is best known throughout the
COLI industry for the AFS Master System®, a client-specific system
now distributed to most clients through the web.
